In the 1980s in China, the women's volleyball team's five consecutive championships was one of the most brilliant achievements in the sports world at that time, and Liáng Yàn was undoubtedly an important member in creating this glory. Since joining the national team and participating in the World Cup in 1981, she has embarked on a journey of victory with her teammates. By 1986, Liáng Yàn and her teammates stood together on the podium of the "five consecutive championships." As the team's deputy attacker, she was the only player who persisted from the first championship to the last, contributing indispensable strength to the glory of the women's volleyball team. Unlike other athletes with extraordinary talents, Liáng Yàn came from an ordinary background and had never received professional training before the age of 13, and even rarely had the opportunity to attend formal physical education classes. However, with her outstanding jumping ability, she was selected by the coach to start training in the sports school. Although she was only 1.77 meters tall, Liáng Yàn felt inferior about her physique and once applied to withdraw from the team to Dèng Ruò, worried that she might drag down the team's performance. Most retired women's volleyball players choose to become coaches of various sports teams or go to sports universities for further study, but Liáng Yàn did not want to take these conventional paths. In addition to volleyball, she also has a strong interest in photography and hopes to capture beautiful moments through the lens. Therefore, she decided to study at the Journalism Department of Renmin University of China and embark on a new chapter in life. After graduation, Liáng Yàn joined the editorial department of "New Sports" magazine and realized her dream of recording wonderful moments on the field with a camera. She always rushed to the front line, took on arduous work, but never cared about personal gains and losses. Colleagues were surprised to find that this former sports star was so diligent and simple. For Liáng Yàn, whether as an athlete or an editor, she strives for excellence with all her efforts. As her career gradually stabilized, her love life also ushered in a turning point. By chance, she met Niú Yì, a wind instrument actor from the Air Force Song and Dance Troupe. They hit it off at first sight and eventually walked into the hall of marriage. After marriage, they had a lovely daughter named Yueyue. To express his support for his wife, Niú let his daughter follow her mother's surname. While enjoying a happy family life, Liáng Yàn also continued to make progress in her career. Under the tide of reform and opening up, she decided to venture into the business world and bravely face new challenges. After full preparation, in 1995, she founded her own sports cultural media company and successfully transformed into an entrepreneur. Relying on the "women's volleyball spirit," Liáng Yàn also achieved remarkable achievements in the business field, with the company's performance steadily rising, and she thus became a well-known female entrepreneur in the local area. With the expansion of the enterprise scale, she began to adjust her work focus, spending more time with her family and enjoying the happiness of family life. Nowadays, Liáng Yàn not only has a successful career but also a happy family. Her parents are healthy and long-lived, and her daughter Liáng Yuè is smart and sensible, pursuing a doctoral degree at Tsinghua University.
