In the decisive mixed doubles match, Sigmond/Zverev defeated Zhang Shuai/Zhang Zhizhen with scores of 6-2 and 7-6(3), securing a 2-1 victory for the German team and locking in their position as group leaders. They will face Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals.
As the best-performing second-place team from the Perth division, the Chinese team also qualified for the quarterfinals. They will compete against the first-place team from Group A in the quarterfinals. The three teams in Group A are the United States, Canada, and Croatia, so the Chinese team will face either the United States or Croatia.
