The latest CBA standings have been released, with Shandong making a comeback against Shanxi to claim the second spot, while Liaoning, Guangdong, and Xinjiang are locked in a tight battle for position.

In the 34th round of the CBA regular season, two matches were played first. Shandong achieved a significant home victory over Ningbo, returning to second place in the standings. Meanwhile, Jiangsu caused an upset by defeating Tianjin at home, which was quite unexpected. After these two matches, there hasn't been much change in the CBA standings, except for Shandong moving up to second place. Guangsha remains firmly at the top, followed by Zhejiang, Guangdong, Liaoning, Xinjiang, and Qingdao, all of whom have the same points, creating an intricate situation.

Currently, Guangsha's position in the CBA standings is unshakable. With a record of 29 wins and 4 losses, they are far ahead of other teams, and their pursuit of the regular-season championship seems imminent. Shandong, with one more match played, has overtaken Shanxi to take second place with a record of 24 wins and 10 losses. Shanxi now sits in third with 25 wins and 7 losses, having already secured a playoff spot, becoming the second team to do so after Guangsha this season.

Compared to the top three teams, the teams ranked 4th to 8th have the same number of points and almost the same number of victories. Except for Xinjiang, who have played one fewer match, the other four teams all have a record of 22 wins and 11 losses. Zhejiang is in 4th, Guangdong in 5th, Liaoning in 6th, Xinjiang in 7th, and Qingdao in 8th. It is clear that these five teams will continue to fiercely compete for rankings in the next dozen or so matches based on their current situations.

Looking at the current state and situation, Xinjiang and Zhejiang are considered to have the biggest advantages. Xinjiang has played one fewer match but has one more victory than the other four teams, which is their biggest advantage. Secondly, Zhejiang has a complete lineup and good form, giving them a decent chance of breaking into the top four. Although Guangdong is in good form, their schedule for the third stage is quite challenging, so they may not have absolute certainty. Of course, Liaoning is undoubtedly the most disadvantaged among them. They were double-killed by Qingdao and are also at a disadvantage when it comes to tiebreakers with Zhejiang. If their records end up being the same, Liaoning will have to settle for a lower position. This is indeed very unfavorable for the defending champions in their pursuit of a fourth consecutive title.

Beijing occupies the 9th spot in the standings with a record of 20 wins and 12 losses, having a two-win gap with the top 8. In 10th place is Beikong, 11th is Tongxi, and 12th is Shanghai. Their current record is 18 wins and 12 losses, having played 3-4 fewer rounds than other teams but still managing to maintain their 12th position, which is quite commendable. Jilin is in 13th with a record of 12 wins and 21 losses, already trailing Shanghai by five wins and losses, making their chances of reaching the playoffs very slim.

Attached is the latest CBA standings ranking:

1-5: Guangsha, Shandong, Shanxi, Zhejiang, Guangdong

6-10: Xinjiang, Liaoning, Qingdao, Beijing, Beikong

11-15: Tongxi, Shanghai, Jilin, Shenzhen, Tianjin
