Beijing time January 15th early morning, the 2025 Snooker Masters continued. On the third day of the first round, Chinese star Si Jiahui faced "Little Cannon" Mark Allen. In the first five games, he made a century break (103 points) and a 50+ break (69 points), currently trailing his opponent 2-3. Earlier, Ding Junhui eliminated "Golden Left Hand" Mark Williams with a score of 6-5.
This season, Ding Junhui, Xiao Guodong, and Lei Peifan have successively won the National Championship, Wuhan Open, and Scottish Open titles. World No. 13 ranked Si Jiahui also reached the final of the Wuhan Open this season, and he defeated O'Sullivan 6-4 at the Saudi Masters.
With this season's fiery form, Si Jiahui teamed up with Ding Junhui and Zhang Anda to participate in one of the three major snooker events, the Masters. Prior to this, Si Jiahui had just participated in the 2025 Invitational Champions League.
He competed in the second group, along with "Captain" Aliester Carter, last year's World Championship runner-up Jack Jones, and single-limited-time match champion Chris Weikelin, among others.
Despite losing 1-3 to "Captain" Carter in the first round of the group round-robin, Si Jiahui went on a strong run, winning five consecutive matches and ultimately finishing first in the group with a record of 5 wins and 1 loss. Carter finished second, Jones third, and Weikelin fourth.
In the group semi-finals, Si Jiahui faced Weikelin, winning 3-1 and advancing to the group final with ease. In the other group semi-final, Jones defeated Carter 3-1 to also advance to the group final. Ultimately, Si Jiahui met Jones in the final, having swept him 3-2 in their group round-robin encounter.
In the group final, Si Jiahui once again defeated Jones, last year's World Championship runner-up, with a 3-2 victory, advancing to the winners' group with this group championship. After participating in the Champions League group stage, Si Jiahui played back-to-back in the Masters, facing "Little Cannon" Allen in the Round of 16. He lost the first game 54-74, then equalized with a single shot of 103 points, and the score after the fifth game was 2-3.
