Zhao Xintong Wins 8 Consecutive Victories and Sets a Magical Record with a Perfect 147

January 14th News: The 2025 Snooker European Q-Tour6 has come to a successful conclusion. Zhao Xintong, the champion of the UK Championship, has created a magical record by winning the title with a 4-1 comeback victory over Haidari Nezad. This championship marks Zhao's fourth consecutive title in the European Q-Tour events, an achievement that no one has ever accomplished before.

As the first post-90s player to win one of the three major snooker events, the UK Championship, Zhao Xintong is extremely talented and favored by "Rocket" Ronnie O'Sullivan, a seven-time world champion, who believes he is the most promising young player to win the World Championship.

However, due to well-known reasons, Zhao Xintong was away from the court for a long time. Last September, Zhao officially returned to the court, and his first event was Q-Tour2, where he advanced to the main draw. He then went on to win the championship and scored a perfect 147 in a single stroke. After that, he continued to win two more championships.

With his outstanding performance in the European Q-Tour events, Zhao Xintong earned the opportunity to participate in the UK Championship qualifying matches and advanced to the main draw with four consecutive victories, once again demonstrating his strength.

In Q-Tour6, Zhao Xintong won his first match 3-0 against Edwin, followed by six consecutive victories to reach the final. The final of the 2024/2025 season European Q Tour6 began at 2 am on January 13th, with Zhao Xintong facing Iranian player Haidari Nezad.

In the first game of the final, Haidari Nezad took the lead with a single stroke of 61 points, winning the first game 1-0. In the subsequent games, Zhao Xintong began his performance, scoring three 50+ shots (74 points, 69 points, 54 points) from the second to the fourth game. After winning three consecutive games, he overtook the score 3-1 and secured two match points.

In the fifth game, with no way out, Haidari Nezad's counterattack was ineffective, while Zhao Xintong continued to exert himself, scoring another 63 points in a single stroke. He defeated Haidari Nezad 4-1 in total to win the championship, setting a historical record for the European Q Tour events with his four consecutive titles.
