Blast 11-0, 3-2 Kill Zhang Ben and Win the Championship, Mascot Station: Xu Yingbin 3-1 Wins Two Consecutive Victories

January 14th Beijing time news, the 2025 WTT regular challenge station Mascot station opened. In the men's singles qualifying match, Chinese player Xu Yingbin defeated Indian player Payas Jain 3-1 and scored 11-0. In the just-concluded 2025 WTT star challenge Doha station men's doubles final, Xu Yingbin partnered with Xiang Peng to defeat the Japanese team Zhang Ben Zhihe/Song Dao Kui Kong 3-2 to win the championship.

The 2025 WTT Star Challenge Doha station is the first WTT event for the Chinese table tennis team this year. Xu Yingbin, the world youth champion, teamed up with teammates Xiang Peng, Chen Yuan Yu and other second-line players to participate in the competition. The Japanese men's table tennis team sent out the main lineup of Zhang Ben Zhihe, Song Dao Kui Kong, and Ueda Xingji.

Xu Yingbin, Xiang Peng, and Chen Yuan Yu performed average in the men's singles match and did not enter the top 8. As the No. 1 seed in the men's singles, Zhang Ben Zhihe entered the women's singles final and won the men's singles championship by 4-0 in the final against the Danish dark horse Groote.

In the men's doubles match, Xiang Peng partnered with Xu Yingbin to compete. Their overall performance was excellent, and they advanced all the way to the final. They narrowly defeated the Japanese team Zhang Ben Zhihe/Song Dao Kui Kong 3-2 in the final to win the championship.

After the end of the 2025 WTT Star Challenge Doha station, Xu Yingbin and his teammates competed back-to-back in the 2025 WTT regular challenge Mascot station. He needed to compete in the qualifying match for the men's singles.

In the first round of the qualifying match, Xu Yingbin played against Yao Juntao from Hong Kong, China. He played very well overall and defeated his opponent 3-0 in a row. The three-set scores were: 11-5, 11-9, 11-7, starting this journey strongly.

In another game in the same round, Huang Youzheng played against Guan Wenhao from Hong Kong, China. Both sides fought fiercely for five sets before deciding the outcome. Huang Youzheng lost two sets at the beginning with 9-11 and 6-11, and was caught by his opponent. When he got two match points, he launched a desperate counterattack.
