Refusal to Pay Additional Child Support Fee

Butler's Lawyer Responds: She Doesn't Deserve It

Butler has been suspended for a short period of time, and now his next destination is gradually becoming clear. According to the latest revelations, there is a high probability that he will join forces with Durant at the Suns, as it was Butler who designated his next team. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the Suns can maximize their trade benefits and decide how to take their team to the next level after acquiring Butler.

It is worth noting that the last star player to designate his next team in a trade application was Lillard in 2023. At that time, he designated the Heat as his trade destination, but ultimately ended up at the Bucks. However, Lillard's request at the time was to join a championship-contending team, so he was not bothered by this outcome.

As time goes on, Butler is also nearing the end of his suspension. If the Heat cannot meet Butler's demands soon, he is prepared to make things more difficult for them.

For this reason, Heat owner Pat Riley recently publicly criticized Butler's behavior on a show. Riley said, "I would handle it differently, without a doubt." Some players want to showcase themselves in some way, which completely contradicts my philosophy of how to represent a team—whether it's to build a bigger personal brand, make more money, or stand out and be different. There's nothing you can do about it.

Riley then turned his criticism towards the league, saying, "The league supports such behavior. Content is king. I've found that trying to keep the media out is impossible, and the league chairman wouldn't allow it either. Openness is most important."

The drama has been going on, and now Butler is starting to get emotional too.

Just yesterday, Butler updated his personal social media, sharing an encouraging message to his employees at Big Face Coffee. He wrote, "This is our best guy here. See, I'm praising you. This is what bosses should do; we help you grow, not hold you back."

This almost reads like Riley's ID card being read out loud.

Now, with his next team still unresolved, another off-court issue has landed Butler in trouble again.

This morning, according to The Daily Mail, they exclusively obtained a lawsuit document showing that Butler criticized the spending habits of the mother of his child. In the document, Butler stated that he pays $55,000 per month to his ex-girlfriend, Kaitlin Nowak, which should be enough for their three children and her living expenses.

However, his ex-girlfriend also asked Butler for an additional $10,000 for nanny fees, to which Butler responded, "She doesn't need a nanny."

In response, Butler's lawyer pointed out that the ex-girlfriend is suspected of refusing to find a job, stating, "It must be pointed out that the father and mother of the three children have never been married. Therefore, the mother does not have the right to live extravagantly like women married to NBA players."

What do you think about this?
