In the aftermath of Barcelona successfully registering Olmo, the Spanish football scene experienced significant turmoil. Within just one day, eight clubs have openly protested, questioning whether Barcelona received preferential treatment. Under mounting pressure, La Liga has decided to appeal the decision to register Olmo.

On January 1st, Barcelona was unable to resolve financial issues, leading to the expiration of Olmo's registration. On January 4th, Barcelona re-applied for Olmo's registration but was rejected by both La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation. Subsequently, Barcelona filed an appeal. Ultimately, the Spanish High Sports Council ruled that Barcelona could temporarily register Olmo.

In the early hours of January 9th, Barcelona officially announced the successful registration of Olmo. Over the past 24 hours, as many as seven clubs have publicly protested. The first to speak out was La Liga team Las Palmas, who officially expressed their great disappointment with the decision to allow temporary registration for Olmo & Victor, stating they "absolutely disagree."

Following Las Palmas, Atlético Madrid, Málaga, Espanyol, Valencia, Athletic Bilbao, and Valladolid also issued statements, condemning Barcelona's actions for disrupting the football environment and casting a severe negative shadow over Spanish football. Atlético Madrid believes that "this decision undermines the current system and raises questions about match rules."

Although Real Madrid did not issue a public statement, Ancelotti expressed his dissatisfaction. In an interview, the Real Madrid coach stated, "I do have thoughts on the matter with Olmo, but I don't want to say them." Clearly, Coach Ancelotti is aware that if he speaks up, it will surely stir up significant waves in the outside world.

Faced with such widespread opposition from clubs, La Liga cannot sit idly by. Spanish media reports that La Liga is studying how to respond to this ruling. They plan to appeal to the court to cancel Olmo's registration. If the court rejects the appeal, La Liga will consider appealing again through administrative means.

La Liga President Tebas has explicitly opposed Olmo's registration, criticizing relevant departments for ignoring previous agreements. Notably, Tebas specifically called out Real Madrid, urging them to stand up against Barcelona.
