During the off-season, five Beijing Guoan players have left the team after their contracts expired, including veterans Zhang Chengdong and Yu Dabao, foreign players Adebenro and Mamadou, and naturalized player Li Ke.
Among these five, one is currently unemployed, which is Adebenro. In the Chinese Super League (CSL) season 24, Adebenro only played 18 games for Guoan, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists. In mid-to-late August of 24, Adebenro left due to injury and was unable to recover before the end of the CSL season 24. His poor attendance rate was the main reason for Guoan's decision to let him go. Currently, Adebenro has not received any offers from other clubs.
Three of them have found new clubs, including Zhang Chengdong, Mamadou, and Li Ke.
In the CSL season 24, Zhang Chengdong played a total of 12 games for Guoan without scoring or assisting. After leaving Beijing Guoan, he chose to join Shao Jiayi and is currently training with Qingdao West Coast during the winter. There are a total of 11 players aged 32 or above in the West Coast team, and the 35-year-old Zhang Chengdong joining the team does not make him the oldest player, and there is even a chance for him to become a regular starter.
Mamadou's new club is likely to be Dalian Yingbo, a newly promoted team in the CSL. In the CSL season 24, Mamadou played 25 league games for Guoan, averaging 0.68 tackles, 0.76 interceptions, and 5.68 clearances per game. This player is energetic and plays a stable style, which will definitely bring a positive impact to the Yingbo defense.
After leaving Guoan, Li Ke's next destination is likely to be Shanghai Shenhua. Currently, fans have taken photos of him wearing a scarf with Shenhua elements.
