On January 6th, Beijing time, Ceará SC, a team from the Brazilian second division, announced that their 27-year-old striker, Minero, has officially joined Shanghai Shenhua, the runner-up of last season's Chinese Super League. The transfer fee is $950,000, equivalent to about 7 million yuan RMB. Minero has become Shenhua's first signing in the winter window of 2025 and will replace Malele, who has left the team, for the new season.

In August 2023, Minero returned to Brazil to join Ceará SC in the second division.
