In preparation for the new season of the Chinese Super League, after the New Year's Day holiday, the entire Beijing Guoan team will head to Haikou for winter training. At that time, many players who were loaned out last season will return to the team, among whom three are particularly noteworthy: Quan Qilong, Liang Shaowen, and Jiang Wenhao.

The 24-year-old Jiang Wenhao plays as a left-back on the field. He joined the Guoan first team in the 2021 season and once became the team's main left-back in the 2023 season. This summer, Jiang Wenhao was loaned to Changchun Yatai. Although he is not an absolute starter at Yatai, he still managed to showcase his abilities with limited playing time.

Compared to Jiang Wenhao, Quan Qilong started higher at Guoan, having been selected for various age groups of the national youth and junior teams. The 23-year-old Quan Qilong is a versatile player in the midfield and defense, capable of playing as a center-back, defensive midfielder, and full-back. At just 18 years old in 2019, Quan Qilong had already joined the Guoan first team and represented the team in the AFC Champions League in 2021, earning six appearances.

Last season, Quan Qilong was loaned to Liaoning Tieren in the China League One. With his outstanding performance and stable display, Quan Qilong quickly established himself as the starting right-back for Liaoning Tieren, scoring a goal in the 19th round of the league, with an overall commendable performance.

Liang Shaowen, once the captain of the Guoan youth team, also represented the team in the 2021 AFC Champions League. The 22-year-old prodigy was highly regarded by then Guoan youth training director Radul. Radul believed that Liang Shaowen possesses the physical qualities of European players of the same age, excelling in coordination, heading, speed, and more. Additionally, he has a skill for free-kick shooting.

Last season, Liang Shaowen was loaned to Nantong Zhiyun in the Chinese Super League, playing in 11 CSL matches and two FA Cup games. As a center-back, Liang Shaowen provided two assists last season, fully demonstrating his "swordsman defender" attribute.

Quan Qilong and Liang Shaowen were once seen as the twin stars of Guoan's 01-age group players, with potential comparable to Shanghai Shenhua's Jiang Shenglong and Zhu Chenjie. However, their development at Guoan has been somewhat high and low, despite once being starters in the AFC Champions League, they gradually became substitutes in subsequent seasons.

Despite this, Guoan Club has not given up on these two young players. The coaching staff plans to give Quan Qilong and Liang Shaowen more playing opportunities in the next new season, hoping they can quickly take on major roles in the team. The addition of Spanish coach Setien also brings new opportunities for Quan Qilong and Liang Shaowen. We hope they can seize this opportunity to explode in the new season and truly secure their starting positions.

In addition to the three young players returning from loans, another new signing will join Guoan for winter training in Haikou, the former Changchun Yatai foreign aid - Serginho. The Brazilian midfielder is currently undergoing naturalization procedures, and if all goes well, he can become a Chinese player before March next year.

This means that in the new season, Serginho will not occupy a foreign player quota for Guoan, and his addition can solve the problem of lacking good attacking midfielders in Guoan's midfield, effectively enhancing the team's frontcourt attack power. Here, we also hope that Serginho can quickly integrate into Guoan's tactical system and help Guoan win the Chinese Super League championship in the 2025 season!
