On the evening of January 3rd, the Chinese Football Association announced a new list of players for the national team training camp. To our delight, we saw the name of Buyu Lang Mijiti, a promising newcomer from the TaiShan Club, on this list. The young and famous Buyu Lang Mijiti fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming a national player before his 21st birthday.
Among the 2004 age group of trainees at Luneng Football School, there are two "treasures": one is the forward killer He Xiaoke, and the other is the No. 9 half-player Buyu Lang. Both players have received much acclaim from insiders in the football circle. He Xiaoke, who has high self-expectations, went abroad a few years ago in hopes of growing faster, but due to various reasons, his performance did not meet expectations. In contrast, Buyu Lang, who stayed with the TaiShan team, had a smoother path. At the age of 18, he already represented Shandong TaiShan in the Super League. At the end of 2022, he contributed his first assist in the Super League during a match against Guangzhou Club, which was highly appreciated by Moises, the core midfielder of TaiShan at that time.
Just as everyone thought Buyu Lang would quickly secure a starting position in TaiShan like Zhou Haibin and Cui Peng before him, the objective environment of TaiShan Club underwent significant changes. Choi Kang-hee, a South Korean, became the head coach of TaiShan, and he preferred to rely on his trusted players and veterans. Choi Kang-hee lacked patience in cultivating young players, causing many TaiShan newcomers, including Buyu Lang, to waste their prime years on the bench, missing out on the golden opportunity to improve their skills. Despite this, Buyu Lang still managed to contribute 2 assists and 1 goal in limited playing time in 2024, showing his potential.
Honestly speaking, compared to his Xinjiang predecessors such as Buyi Jiang and Bali, the young Buyu Lang is even more outstanding: he has excellent technique, broad vision, and a good sense of the game. He can deliver decisive passes in midfield and also has a skill for crossing from the flanks. More importantly, his scoring ability is equally impressive, with set-piece and long-range shooting abilities not inferior to Buyi Jiang. Compared to Bai Helamu, who is one year older and technically less refined, Buyu Lang has a broader career prospect. This is also the main reason why TaiShan Club unhesitatingly let go of Bai Helamu at the beginning of last year. However, Buyu Lang's growth has been somewhat slow due to limited playing opportunities in recent years.
We hope that Buyu Lang's selection to the national training squad will be a turning point, prompting TaiShan Club to pay more attention to him and at least include him in the regular rotation of the starting lineup.
