According to official media "Dong Qiu Di" report, former head coach of the Chinese women's football team and former head coach of Shandong Taishan Club, Hao Wei, has completed his first trial sentence. Ultimately, his sentence is roughly equivalent to that of Jin Jingdao, Gu Chao, and others, and Hao Wei's name should appear on the second batch of banned lists. Previously, Jin Jingdao, a player from Shandong Taishan Club, was sentenced to three years in prison and appeared on the first batch of banned lists. Therefore, Hao Wei's sentence should also be three years. Since Hao Wei served as the head coach of the Chinese women's national team in 2013, he is also the second former national football team coach to be sentenced after Li Tie.

In the entire anti-corruption case in the Chinese football world, Li Tie, the former head coach of the Chinese men's national team, was the first breakthrough. Subsequently, through Li Tie, a large number of Chinese football practitioners were gradually implicated, and they were roughly divided into two important lines: the Chinese Football Association and the Chinese Super League. Among them, the "anti-corruption key area" in the Chinese Super League is Shandong Taishan Football Club. Among the many people arrested, the most attention was paid to four individuals: former head coach Hao Wei, South Korean foreign aid Sun Zhunhao, and two Chinese players, Guo Tianyu and Jin Jingdao.

First, let's talk about Jin Jingdao. He is the most critical figure in the case where multiple matches were manipulated. He was even previously speculated by insiders to be the "biggest mastermind." Jin Jingdao mainly communicated with multiple players about "playing fake games," including Sun Zhunhao, the South Korean foreign aid in the Chinese Super League, who was dragged into the water by him. Jin Jingdao is also the Chinese Super League player with the longest sentence (three years) so far. Since Jin Jingdao has been listed on the first batch of banned lists, he will not be able to participate in any competitions or activities under the Chinese Football Association after his release. However, he can still choose to serve as a youth training coach not registered with the Chinese Football Association, which means that everyone will not see Jin Jingdao under the registration scope of the Football Association.

Next is South Korean foreign aid Sun Zhunhao. Sun Zhunhao was criminally detained in May 2023 for suspected non-state personnel bribery, which even aroused great attention in the whole of South Korea. It was not until March 25, 2024, that Sun Zhunhao was released and returned to South Korea. Then in September 2024, the Chinese Football Association officially announced that Sun Zhunhao was banned for life and submitted the "banned order" to FIFA. Subsequently, Suwon FC of South Korea announced the termination of the contract with Sun Zhunhao. Sun Zhunhao is also the only foreigner in this anti-corruption case in the Chinese football world.

There is also Guo Tianyu, a teammate of Jin Jingdao and Sun Zhunhao from Shandong Taishan. After being officially banned by the Chinese Football Association from participating in any football-related activities under its jurisdiction for life, Guo Tianyu went to Thailand to play football and joined Thai League Chiangrai United Football Club. However, Guo Tianyu, who originally thought he could continue his football career, was kicked out of the squad for five consecutive games in the Thai League. Since Guo Tianyu was not injured, many football media people suspect that he might have been kicked out of the squad because the Chinese Football Association submitted the "banned list" to FIFA, and it is likely that he will face a global ban!

Finally, there is the newly sentenced head coach Hao Wei. Hao Wei's coaching resume is actually very glorious, including the youngest head coach in the Chinese Super League, head coach of the Chinese women's national team, Chinese coach of Guangzhou Evergrande, executive coach of the Chinese Olympic team, and head coach of Shandong Taishan. Among them, Hao Wei was also shortlisted for the China Golden Coach Award candidate list for two consecutive years! Although Hao Wei was a meritorious coach of Shandong Taishan Club, he was arrested due to three pieces of evidence: suspected manipulation of matches, collusion with agents for private gain, and suspected bribery. For example, according to informed sources, during his tenure as head coach of Shandong Taishan, Hao Wei paid about 2 million RMB in "benefits" to Jiangsu player Gu Chao to ensure that Shandong Taishan could advance to the next round in the FA Cup. In addition to revealing that Hao Wei was sentenced to three years in prison, his name should appear on the upcoming second batch of banned lists.
