Recently, the Chinese national table tennis team has been in the spotlight. Previously, fans of Sha Sha rebelled against the national team, and now Fan Zhendong is considering withdrawing from the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). On December 27th, a statement was released that caused a stir. Fan Zhendong decided to withdraw from the world rankings and submitted an agreement to both the ITTF and the Chinese Table Tennis Association, signing it personally. This means that Fan Zhendong's name will no longer appear in the world rankings. In his speech, Fan Zhendong expressed strong emotions and resentment.
In Fan Zhendong's statement, he mentioned that the main reason for withdrawing from the ITTF is due to the sudden implementation of new rules by the WTT, which stipulates fines for non-participation in competitions. Such霸王条款（tyrannical clauses）are unacceptable not only to Fan Zhendong but also to table tennis goddess Chen Meng, who also decided to withdraw from the ITTF. This means that Fan Zhendong and Chen Meng will not participate in international competitions in the future, and we will not be able to see their presence.
When their statements were released, the ITTF immediately responded. Separate response statements were made for the two individuals. In the statement, the Chinese Table Tennis Association refuted Fan Zhendong's claims, arguing entirely from their own perspective. Faced with these two statements, fans are unsure which side to believe, and everyone is waiting for the final outcome.
However, unexpectedly, during this period of silence, Fan Zhendong struck back again. At 10 am on December 29th, Fan Zhendong once again spoke out on a public platform, countering the WTT World Table Tennis Association. In the WTT's statement, they claimed that the rules had been set long ago, and therefore their decisions were correct according to any regulations. However, Fan Zhendong did not let them off easily and directly exposed the lies of the WTT Table Tennis Association.
In his statement, Fan Zhendong said: "I have never been officially notified of withdrawal fines. It was only after last week that I received formal notification, and this new rule will only be officially implemented by the WTT after 2025." Upon learning this news, he immediately signed up and decided to withdraw.
When judging the matter, we can look back at Fan Zhendong's journey in table tennis. He was born into an ordinary worker's family. During his childhood, because his parents went out to work, he could only live with his grandparents and became a left-behind child. Later, when his father's conditions improved, Fan Zhendong followed him to live in Guangdong. By chance, Fan Zhendong's father learned that if Fan Zhendong was selected for the amateur table tennis team of Tongfu Middle Road No. 1 Primary School, it would allow him to enroll smoothly and receive tuition reductions. The family only needed to pay 800 yuan for table tennis lessons, which was a significant amount. However, for Fan Zhendong's smooth enrollment at the time, his parents gritted their teeth and sent him there for the sake of his future. This decision gifted the country with the talent of Fan Zhendong. At the time, Fan Zhendong had not yet been exposed to this sport, but he was a very talented individual. After just one week of playing, his technical level had already surpassed his peers who had been training for several months. The coach also highly praised Fan Zhendong, saying, "He is very talented, has a great feel for the game, and is good at thinking."
In 2006, Fan Zhendong was selected to attend the Guangzhou Sports Vocational and Technical College. There, he embarked on his professional table tennis training journey. He demonstrated superb independence and self-reliance at the school, taking care of himself even though he was far from his parents. It was this kind of character that drove him forward with determination, never giving up easily. Throughout five years of training, Fan Zhendong only missed five days. Every day, he would go back and practice more, embodying the spirit of hard work.
His efforts paid off when he reached a turning point in his life. In 2008, at the age of only 11, Fan Zhendong was selected by the PLA Bayi Sports Working Team, a cradle that has cultivated many champions, signifying a promising future for him. However, Fan Zhendong's parents were skeptical and hoped that their child could attend a good university and settle down peacefully. Fan Zhendong proposed a two-year period to verify whether he should pursue a career in table tennis, agreeing to follow his parents' advice if he achieved nothing after two years.
During his training at the Bayi Working Team, Fan Zhendong made a qualitative leap. After communicating with his parents, both parties decided to choose table tennis as Fan Zhendong's lifelong career. It was also at the Bayi Team where Fan Zhendong first came into contact with the national team, and he first conceived the idea of joining it. To enter the national team, he trained even harder, spending 6-8 hours a day on high-intensity training.
In 2012, at the age of only 15, Fan Zhendong finally fulfilled his wish and entered the door of the Chinese table tennis team, arriving at the place he had always dreamed of. When he first joined the national team, Fan Zhendong was affectionately called "Little Fatty" due to his round figure, a term of endearment that did not embarrass him. Reflecting on his time training with the national team, he smiled and said, "Because I sweat a lot, I often end up drenched, and the coaches think I'm very hardworking, so I've received a lot of praise."
That year also belonged to the era dominated by Ma Long and Zhang Jike. It was there that Fan Zhendong realized that entering the national team was just the stepping stone to meeting top-level players. Becoming part of the national team is not the end; you must venture out to see a bigger world and compete with those top players. Therefore, Fan Zhendong secretly took the two as his goals and role models, aspiring to become like them.
His sweat and efforts would never deceive him. In his first year with the national team, at the age of only 15, Fan Zhendong defeated world champion Wang Qin with a score of 4:3 in the national table tennis competition, successfully advancing to the men's singles quarterfinals. Perhaps this is what it means for veterans to pass on the torch.

此时他自己已经不再是年轻有着孩子气的樊振东，他是出道了几乎十一个年头。他已经不再是从前的小胖，而是如今人人都要恭敬喊一声的“东哥”。在巴黎运动会之后，樊振东、陈梦以及马龙等运动员都进入了自己的休整期，毕竟他们已经是老将。高强度的赛事他们这时候已经有些吃不消，通过休整期来维持自己的能量。
对于他们开在参赛，是否需要为之前的缺席的比赛而支付罚款？是没有明确白纸黑字的规定，虽然WTT说了有类似规定，可是这个规矩是死的，人是活的，具体解释权还是在WTT那里，而且的确没有明确开始实施的日期。在这方面WTT赛事规则上声明和界定模糊不清。双方在沟通和理解上产生了分歧，因此才会出现了现在这样一个局面。
